Outreach

There are many ways West Newton UMC reaches out locally and globally, including:

  • Visiting the local nursing home
  • Participating in town festivals
  • Annual Nativity Show
  • Make-a-Difference Day
  • Imagine No Malaria
  • Project Reindeer
  • Operation Santa Claus
  • Cooperative ministry with other UMCs in the area
  • Westmoreland County Food Bank and the Hunger Garden
  • Ecumenical services and cooperative ministry with the West Newton Association of Churches
  • Assembling of flood buckets and health kits for distribution through UMCOR
We also manage West Newton Wears, a second-hand clothing store sponsored by the WN Association of Churches. Donations are always accepted.
